this poor girl was dropped off at a nearby LFS yesterday..owner and i have been good friends for almost 10 years now and i always get a call when someone drops off a herp(i've taken in igs, ball pythons, frogs, beardies, water dragons, geckos and even a few birds from her)

she called me at around 7pm last night and told me a guy brought in a 2 foot savannah monitor and it was in not-so-great condition, if i wanted it, come get it. i've never been a huge fan of them..but i'm always a sucker for an animal in need of TLC, so i setup a temporary enclosure and went to pick her up.

she was covered in dried up stuck shed, very dehydrated and dry..but a sweetheart nontheless. she got a long soak tonight and drank for about 10 minutues. going to pick up a few 8x4 sheets of plywood this weekend and put a nice enclosure together for her. vet check on wednesday.

any name suggestions? :D

wow, she looks luvly. Like others said besides the stuck skin she looks good. Make sure to bring a stool sample in to the vet so they can check for parasites.

Looks awesome, good for you!

Name it Lucky, because it's so lucky it found you, otherwise it probably would have died in it's old owners hand eventually.
