I checked on my fish Sunday morning and noticed in the 75 gal. the female rd had started to lay eggs on the plate in there. I beefed up the male kml on the other side of the tank so he wouldn't get pummeled by her when I attempt to breed them. I took the divider out. 15 minutes later I put it back in. She seemed to be interested in him giving him light love nibbles. He only responded with fierce jabs to her side. It was my very first attempt at pairing up fh's or any fish for that matter so I'm not sure if this assault would have subsided after a short while but I didn't want to take that chance. They have been in the same tank for a long time and don't seem to be very aggressive to each other with the divider in. I'll try again next time. Any advice on pairing these two up would be appreciated!!!

One thing they say to do is but a hole int eh divide just big enough for the female, but not big enough for the male. This will let her come and go at her leisure. That might help you cause.
