hey guys. well i talked about setting up a reef tank maybe two weeks ago. i took the plunged i have a 35g tank with 5kg of live rock cycling it was really really live rock ton and tons of stuff on it. i have a seio prop 1000 for a power head. t5ho lights 39w i think marine glo actinic blue and arcadia 14000k marine white and an ehiem 2213 canister with a 300w ehiem jager heater

so how am i going so far what are the next steps to take.

*what else will i need to buy

*what type of corals can i keep in this system ( or better said what type of things can i keep in this system )

* i live in australia its rather hot in summer will i need a chiller if so suggest one?

*when should i add more live rock and when will it be done cycling?

Hey mate, How much you paying for your live rock up there?
Your setup sounds great so far, just think about a skimmer maybe..
 
Nahh dun need a chiller here its so stable here but im not 100% cause im at the stage you are at the moment.

I was told to get a skimmer havent got one yet.
Also let it cycle for sometime longer the better for your future corals.

Also (not 100% again) but with some corals you need reactors So that might be an added idea.

Ive been using Reefkeeper.com its amazing check out TOTM (tank of the month) the site has been running since 2002 so every month since then they have a TOTM and the person who wins shows you in detail about everything corals,lighting,filtration ect.

Ive got this random friend of mine who just got it in his head he wants to setup his 8x2x2ft tank a reef. More money than sence lol and i get to spend it :D
