I've been using MFK for drawing fodder.
First up I've got a payara, a fish that lends itself very well to a smiley toon fish.
As usual it's hard to put down just what one pictures in mind, but I think tit turned out ok considering I'd never seen a payara before. I have no idea which payara species I've even drawn.
Next I added a silver arowana, a fish that that had me "enchanted" at the Boston aquarium. I have had trouble giving the aro the flat look while trying to protray that graceful ribbon like motion they seem to engage in.
I have no idea if arowana and payara are actually compatible...but we'll go with the "nemo" type fish tank here where the fish are anthro, cutsy and live together.
Two more pics in progress both of the silver aro and the payara which I did at the dentist without using MFK..so not very good.
The dentist asked me what I was drawing so I just said vampire tetra since most people are probably more familiar with tetra fish then payara. Also I don't know how to pronounce payara.
Next up I'll be doing the titantic pleco ( which is my new dream fish that I'd like to see along with a living arapaima). Litterly since I used to dream about giant tanks from time to time and of course there were giant plecos involved sometimes. Always with the groups of plecos, giant plecos, pleco fries. Sometimes I would daydream about an indoor pond filled with plecos. Oh well...so I was sorta obcessed about plecos.
When I first found one of these I thought photoshop?...Nope real...dream fish is reality
.
After that...I guess I'll browse MFK and see what grabs me.
