i got them in such conditions
one of them even had a completely broken back

all of them were at 3-4" size when i got 'em

out of 5 i got only 3 with proper head shapes, among the other two one hag a broken back and the other one has a bent snout at the tip

the one with a broken back although in the beginning used to compete quite aggressively with the others and was quite the same in width, as he has grown older he has become more and more seclusive and even eats quite sparce although it is 14"+ not thick like the others

i have started to hand feed it so that it catches up with others soon

getting gars was done on a special order and had to wait for like 3 months before i got them
i picked all whence they reached and one i got for free, whose back was broken

grew them in a 100 gal cube before they were added to a 220g

now the next is to get some A. tropicus here, lets see if i can pull that off
the A. spatula are available every now and then but shall not pick them up unless my Catfish pond is renovated, until then will just wait
