Toothy catfish

Various sheetfish (Siluridae) have impressive teeth. Belodontichthys is a genus you should probably look up. They look like the bastard child of a payara, arowana and a goonch and are dynamic, active predators. On top of all that, a normal specimen won't get much over 2'. They don't really look like your traditional catfish though.

Catfish with teeth are rare, however. Short of the sheetfish and Bagarius, there's not many options for catfish that have teeth.

Damnit Rob, now I want a sheetfish.

I could not think of any right away so I took the liberty of re-posting on PCF. Hope Anthony's ok with that. The only answer that came back for now is the same as Rob's: http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=39734#p271343

Sorry about being pedantic. IIRC, it is sheath catfish, not sheet...

Viktor, I'm not worried about it tbh. I was going off of memory too.

I've only seen these things on a list twice in the States. Once was from Aquascape about two years ago, the second time was about eight months ago from a smaller vendor, though I can't remember who it was for the life of me.
