Hello

I am wondering if anyone uses auto top off units for their XL aquariums. Mine is 1100 gallons and Hydor top off works for 6 months then breaks. XP aqua ultimate lasted 1 month. Cant plumb RO straight to sump so wondering if anyone has any suggestions that wont put water all over floor. 30 gallons a week evaporation is my issue. Running 2 Iwaki 70 may be part of issue as they are older. No heater and only 2 powerheads.

Please dont respond unless have valid experiences and or a tank over 500 gallons.

Thank you

Nice looking tank. May have better luck over on reefcentral for top offs on large saltwater systems. I imagine most use Rubbermaid totes/storage containers ~300 gallons. For the top off pump itself, I’d look at apex ATO. It does not require apex system to run. If you have an apex, the options would be endless. FMM module with two optical sensors and any pump you wish in a storage container in the basement/filtration room. My tank loses around 10 gallons a week being rimless. I’ve seen these used by multiple people. If you want more water, connect multiple totes together.
