I drew this up today and wanted see what people thought. This would go on a 96" x 48" x 24" acrylic tank. Would this be wide enough around the edge and worth spending the extra money (extra sheet) to put on the top of the tank. The tank would be made of 1/2" cell cast acrylic.

I would like to make the holes as large as possible to make another small tank or sump out of the leftover. Would it be just as good to just cut strips and do the edges and middle with that? it would definitely be cheaper but just wondering if would help prevent bowing as much. Thanks for the help

as long as you cut the squares out and give them to me it will work:D

honestly, I think it would be worth the added cost, but I would make the holes smaller so it's stronger.

I was thinking about smaller but then I started to get greedy lol. I may be getting a good deal on acrylic but it's still not cheap:naughty:

If you help me build you can have the leftover:popcorn:

looks good to me better than some tanks i seen with only two small opening at 90 gal or above
