top up water for saltwater tank

hey guys i got a question for my tank, the water level of my tank keep on gone away a little everyday so i just top up freshwater or top up with water that mixed with salt?

Use freshwater for your topoffs because when your saltwater evaporates the salt doesn't. So if you add saltwater for your topoffs you raise your salinity which you don't want to do.

Also a good book on marine care would be a good investment....
 
look into getting an auto top off system as well! makes life a little easier and less stress on the tank as its not a large amount added at one time
