Top-Water fish for African tank?

the 150g i have is 31in tall and i am getting stuck with no fish using the top 12in. What would you guys recommend for a good top water fish for my tank, if any at all?

I would go with malawi peacocks. They will gladly take up that space.

Isn't the yellow tail acei supposed to use the top half of the tank ?

Clarification on which type of Africans? Malawi, Tanganyikan, or Victoria?

he has mostly malawi with a few Tanganyikan and 1 victorian. he is just wanting to get something for the top because we were looking at it yesterday and it seemed really empty in the top. he has 3 acei cichilds but they are way to small, hes growing them out in his 55g.

Cyprichromis leptosoma occupy the upper part of a community tank. if what you have is a tanganyikan tank.
