Torn between 2 fish for new aquarium.

I just received a new 125 gal. tank and I am torn between getting a dovii or a fahaka puffer. I have been doing research on both but no idea which to choose.

I am interested in doing live feeding.
I was also considering doing a snail tank if I get a puffer but I don't know much about that.

And yes I am willing to upgrade tank size when the time comes if needed

125g is generally considered fine long term for a fahaka but a dock will need a tank that’s at least 8’x3’x2, that’s LxWxH if not bigger since they are open water predators that can get 24”+ that’s males females top out at 14” ish so a female would be fine in a 125g

Thank you, that's kinda what I was thinking. Do fahaka puffers eat snails even when young or should they be given small foods until they reach bigger size?

I agree with Kelly_Aquatics . You can grow out a Dovii in a 125g but will definetly need a larger tank for an adult. They do get huge, especially males.
