Can MFK please help me make a choice. I finished my stand build for my new 150. Im going to stock it with a couple small Umbee to obtain a pair, Which i will be having to do many water changes. WHAT SUBSTRATE SHOULD I USE!!! lol I can't pick between black sand and black 1"-1.5" smooth stones.

Heres a picture of a jag in another tank above the rocks i would use.

Rocks would be easier but sand would look nicer. I would choose sand because I wouldn't mind the extra work and it would look way better. Just my opinion

I know thats what im thinking sand looks really nice but with the amount of water changeds im going to have to do im thinking its going to be hard..

those rocks must be a pain in the ass to clean with a gravel vac... and the sound of them tapping the glass when you move them around will drive ur fish insane lol

Sand all the way... it might look nasty if you don't clean it regularly but everything stays on top of it.

black sand for me, i have tahtian moon sand in my tanks and it looks great, i've tried rocks before and it's very hard to clean.
