I have a Silver Arow (as in the signature) The fish that are in there with it are listed as well. What i was wondering is why my arow is always soo skidish. I have had him for 2 months. I work night shift so I get home and the lights are turned off already. (automatic shutoff) and when i walk by its always going skidzo. Everything else in the tank is perfectly fine except the arow. Any suggestions?

Also as the title says his tail will not heal. Kinda getting tired of lookin at a torn up tail.

Melafix should do the job good, :) add melafix, and do a couple 10% water changes :) Shold be find, add some salt too a tsp. to every 5 gallons

most fish do get skittish at night, when i used to study at night and if by chance i walked by the tank my jar used to get all skittish and then try hiding behind the powerhead
then i used to leave the light on and he stopped getting skittish but switched it off when i went to sleep

i don't think melafix is reqd if there isn't any infection
fins will grow back
just keep the water clean and do what you were doing(that is keep him well fed)

Thing is that nothing in the tank can really hurt him. His tail has been like that for like a month or so. I started to think it was the TV's reflection and lights so when the lights go out on the tank i cover the front with a black trash bag and haven't heard a peep. Thing is that i dont go to bed till 630am and I am just sitting in the dark watchin tv or on the comp. I hear him constantly so i hope this does work.

i reckon the gar is hitting him. maybe.
do you have real rocks in the tank, perhaps he is ramming them when he goes crazy.
