Don't know anything about this subject but my question is, can one interbreed apistos such as an Orange Flash Cacatuoide with a Yellow Face Borelli. I ended up with too many fish, not enough tanks and mixed some apistos. First, will it work and secondly is this what is called hybridizing. I know one can mix guppys all day long and I think guppys and mollies breed as well as swords and platys. Not that I plan on this activity but it does perk my curiosity. :feedback: Thanks.

I would think a "hybrid" refers to any cross that would not normally occur in the wild. In the case of apistos, many are from different locales and so would never have met in the wild. They could most likely interbreed (if they tolorate each other).
