My 14inch gator gar lept out of his tank last night. :screwy::swear::swear:he was on the floor for at least an hour and a half. and he is still living lol these guys r tough.:WHOA::WHOA::WHOA:
 
There is always chance for complications when they are out of the water for that long... he could end up losing his slime coat, etc. Keep your eye on him - you're not out of the clear yet.
 
I hope everything goes well for your gar.....its amazing how many peoples gar have jumped out of their tanks; if I can ever afford to get one Im gonna make sure I get a wrought Iron lid.....with a big lock on it!

close call.
they can surive for 2 hours.

so maybe another 30 minutes or so and it'll be goodbye gator instead of later gator

will do. he lost some of his slime coat because i had to clean him off because he fell behind my tank and got dirt all over him. he is swimming around acting like nothing happend :nilly::screwy:
