I would very much like to add a bottom dwelling tank mate (preferably a cat of some kind) to my 75 gal that houses my Flowerhorn.
The problem i have is it needs to be something pretty tough as my FH is a lil harsh to tank mates lol. But not so agressive that it would harm my FH. also needs to be big enough to not get eaten but again not big enough to harm or eat my FH lol.
So far my FH hasnt had any tank mates it didnt beat up, and if they are too small she will eat them.

I really have taken a liking to Shovelnose cats, but i believe they all grow too big for my current tank and i dont know how they would do with my FH or how the FH would fare with them lol.
I know this is alot of requirements but does anyone have any suggestions?

Anyone???????

He kills plecs. at least he did when he was younger thats why im tryin to find something that will defend itself but not pick a fight with him lol.
When he was about 3 1/2" he killed a 7" plec overnight, so i havent tried a plec since then lol.

Sorry to say this but your tank is too small to house a Pleco large enough to stand up to that Flowerhorn. And you're creating a one on one scenerio which forces the Flowerhorn to eliminate his competiton. An XL Pineapple, Adonis, Rhino or Royal Pleco will do but they will be too big for a 70gal.

well i guess that answers it....bigger tank is the solution lol

well i got the LSN i was lookin at for next to nothing, so we'll see how he fares with a supervised visit to the FH tank after im sure he is healthy.
