Tough decision to make.... Black or brown?

First let me explain my goal here- I eventually want to have a breeding trio of 2 females and one male. I currently have one nice marble female and one nice marble male. The male I purchased last weekend has settled in nicely and both days are roughly 9-10". Braveheart, a mfk member and friend has a 9-10" male henlei for $750. Tell me I can't pass this up! Only problem being it would out me to 2 males. My other drawback is I'm not a fan of blackxbrown bybrids.

At the same time, The vendor I got my male from has a pearlxmotoro hybrid for $300 but is only 6" and will take some growing out, but I will have my trio.

Now black rays have always been y dream but do to cost out it in the distant future. Now that I have the opportunity to get a blackie for really good price, am I dumb to pass up my dream fish?

The other positive note is if I buy this hen, I'll be able to sell my marbles and use the money towards a black female

Hard to say, honestly it is a personal preference. I like both black and brown but like brown more. Black rays are nice but I am not a fan of something that everyone wants and dreams of. I am a die hard jaguar fan but not many people like them. The henlei is a great deal for todays market so if you want black then buy it. Just remember that you can buy 2 to 3 rays for the cost of just the one.

IMO, I would go black. Save and wait. Pointless to get something that you are not really into and regret later. Patient is the key.

I was in your shoes before. Started with marble then upgrade to henlei. But at the end i end up with leo. Male henlei are a dime a dozen and they are everywhere.

Best Supplier i would recommend is Mike H20. JMO

Thanks for the input. I pretty much had my mind made up but just wanted someone's feedback. I'm meeting tonight to get the henlei. I guess worst case scenario I'll have best of both worlds and hybrids im not the biggest fan of. I like rays o all types from retics to bd's. I figure this will be a good cheap way to get a black ray from someone I trust. It also doesn't have to go thru overnight shipping either
