So im faced with a tough decision and i would love some help with this

it involves 2 fx5 and a 180 gal

MY current setup goes like this

30 gal w/d appx 5 gallons of bioballs/some scrubbies-700 gph return

2 ac 110 - say 600 gph between the two
and a cheapo 500 gph canister
so about 10 x turnover

my stock

1 12'' oscar
3 3-5" jd
2 green tex 2 6-7.5'' 1 3 in
2 3'' firemouths
2 1.5'' clown loaches
1 8'' com pleco

now i just got an offer for 2 fx5's delivered for 380

do you think 2 could handle my tank by them selves
all my numbers are good, i have had some odor issues from the tank but besides that every think is good

i like my setup, but its a pia to keep it up and running
and 2 fx5's would be easy to keep up with but im not sure if they would handle my tank

i cant fit the 2 fx5's and the sump i dont have the room

so what do you think

would this easy setup work?
i would just transplant the media?

what do you think is better?

what would you do?

the offer has a time limit so help me quick PLEASE!

i guess its not a clear cut answer
but im leaning towards getting them its gonna be a tight fit under my stand though, fx5's have a 17 '' diameter and my stand is about 17'' wide but i have plenty of height.

i just ordered one to replace the ac's and the canister

ill wait for some feed back before getting the second to replace the sump,
my sump only has a 700 gph return before the head so it like 500gph

, i think i might just get the second instead of added a bigger pump and another overflow(less work/upkeep)

i think 2 for under 400 is a good deal though

Sounds like one heck of a deal. Don't run with the FX5s myself, but at that price it would be hard to pass up.

You should be able to transfer media, srubbies and bioballs are not ideal for canisters but you could go with that and slowly change out the media over the next few months.
