They were selling these racks fro only $10 at walmart. I figured i'd try them out so i could have these guys all in one area instead of different critter keepers scatyered all around...

unfortunately, my hundurian curly haired tarantula, "sheeva" escaped over night. I woke up the next day and she was crawling on the wall by the ceiling. I took pics and will try to get them up later.

yeah, ive seen those racks before but i never attempted to buy them because the gaps just looked to big to hold stuff in.

Neat, i would do it, but i would be doing some Tweaking first. Like i would screen the sides to prevent escapes. And i would use a saw to cut the fronts off and replace then with plexi or somehting. Nice though.

yeah, crickets will get out for sure. I only offer one or two crickets at a time though, and make sure they're eaten.

A snake will get out 100%, i thought my tarantulas were too big to escape but the curly hair is smaller than i thought ( its always under its hide log so i never see it).

Pacman Frogs, pixies, horns etc would be perfect for these.

The only thing I would be worried about would be the humidity in them. I am sure they hold humidity very well and may T's or scorps will not like that. maybe add a little computer fan for ventilation.

I'd be careful with a computer fan in a tarantula enclosure. I'd be afraid they could stick their legs through and get hurt or even lose limbs.

good point but I was thinking about doing it through a screen.

See, again i would do a center console type desidn were 1 fan would be used for all 3 and screen over every entrance. Man, now i am getting ideas. lol.

lol such a manly thread.
i thought about these for my snakes, but the gaps r just to risky as obv the only ones in there will b tiddly lil things.
