treated wood? Any idea what with? Anyone have any experience using this in thier aquarium?

I must be a complete moron :screwy:cause I tossed a chunk into a 90 gal yesterday and today I found 2 of my fish dead and the water is all cloudy.
Did a huge water change today 50%+ as the smaller fish have survived. Was wondering what this wood is treated with so I can treat the water accordingly for the survivors. Also wondering if the wood can be soaked to remove watever it is treated with.

Do a search on grapevine driftwood. I've read somewhere it's not ideal for aquariums. Very rarely i've heard positive things about grapefine in fish tanks.

grapevine=to soft of wood, treat for lizards etc. looking for tree root looking stuff go for african root.

i threw some in my tank with the invisable monster in it (aka no fish hehe) yea it just got all fuzzy and nasty. not a good idea
