Today my LFS got in a group of around 10 Cloded Archers (Toxotes Blythii) for $30 each, the biggest being 3 inches smallest around 2. I plan on getting a group of 3-5 of em. My question is would a small group of them work in a 75 rainbow fish and pleco tank? I currently have have 8 Rainbows, small group of bristle nose, One three beacon plec, and 3 very small Panda Garra, I also plan on upgrading this tank to a 120 in a couple months. I’m wondering if the archers Would be ok in here? Would they eat the panda Garras? I would also love to hear Peoples thoughts and experiences with these archers aswell as advice on keeping them would be appreciated thanks.

They should be ok in that tank. The Archers stay almost exclusively at the top so shouldn't bother your other fish. Not sure about the small pandas garras. I keep mine with a group of synodontis lucipinnis and king tiger plecos and they don't bother anyone. Glad to hear that you'll be upgrading to a larger tank soon.

They grow to about 5-6 inches fairly quickly .. then it will take them years to grow another inch. Most of the time archers will leave fish that they can not swallow alone. I have a group of 15 or so. They are all on both floating sticks and will go to the bottom to pick up sinking gold.
Clouded archers are a great choice since they will not require any salt/saltwater as they grow. Good luck with the archers and plan on the upgrade within a year or so and you should be fine.
