"Seven spot, or large scale archer fish."

Never seen them in my life until recently. Usually all the LFS around here would have the more common T. jaculatrix. Anyways, I picked up 2. One of them is almost 5". If I'm not mistaken i think these are the ones that are more suited to fresh water. Has anyone else in the U.S. been seeing a lot of these lately?

There dont seem to be many archer enthusiasts as members here. How much were they.

surprisingly cheap the 4.5" was $25, and i got the 3" for $12. The average price use to be $15 for a 2"

T. chatareus are found in freshwater/brackish here in Australia. They do grow pretty big up to 16 inches +.

i want a 16"er ^^:; that be an awesome sight..... but i do have to agree that , if kept in a tank, that sorta wasted its "archer skills"

great find...have been seeing archers lately down here, but can't tell if they are jaculatrix or not. where in FL are you?

The archer skills are not wasted in a tank mine liked to spit at me through the holes and gaps whenever I was in range .
But I would really like a T. blythii
