I would take the Tacoma just because I had one and it was a really good outfit. Throw on some mudders and have fun! Faster doesn't matter in vehicles like this both have adequate power for everything they will do. If you want fast buy a car. Or a diesel.

I assume the tacoma will be bit faster and fuel efficient as it weighs less, but they are pretty much the same vehicle minus the year difference. So just decide what you want, SUV or Pickup.
