Has anyone had any concerns about the recent news articles on tap water test results across our country and are you concerned for yourself and your pets. I for one have be totally out raged that this is going on in most major cities in the U.S.A. We should have better controls and standards in this great country of our. I think the fact that local drinking water standards have fallin in the past 5-6 years is terrible and we must demand that our municipalities take corrective action now! I have started to use activated carbon in my aquarium all the time now to remove any possible traces of pharmicuticals in my water changes.:(

haha I too read an article about these findings and first thought of my fish. I can only imagine what else they put up with in our city water.

I would venture to say that the pharmaceuticals in question are in such low concentrations that they could not pose serious harm to our fish. Carbon could be a way to insure yourself if you don't think that you will enjoy your fish all hopped up on pain meds.

I'm guessing that my city's water will soon show a healthy concentration of THC in it as well, due to the recent "holiday".

I have heard this and worried as well. In fact it traces were found in our city water...my fish are fine
