so i found a guy on the net who wanted to down size from his 140g to a 80g-90g. i figured i would offer him my 55g, ac50 filter and glass tops that i had cut for it, just for ****s and giggles. he actually took the offer!! and gave me the tank and a nasty looking millenium 3000 filter which i have replaced with another AC110 for now. he built the tank himself out of 10mm glass and stained wood trim. this thing is built like a tank so he went with no center brace the tank doesnt bow at all. the stand he gave me was super sketchy. it was two flimsy metal end tables spaced out with 2x10's laying across it. it wasnt even as wide as the tank. so i just put it on the floor untill i can make a nice stand for it. the tank size is roughly 4.5'L x 2'W x 2' 3"T

Here's the picture he sent me of the tank setup at his house

after a whole lot of jacking around (was supposed to call me early moning heard nothing till about 6:00pm was dark already) i got the tank home and painted the back in the freezing canadian coldness in the dark! here's the result.

the guy didnt keep his tanks as clean as i like mine and there is some hard water stains on the side closest to the wall. iv scrubbed it with viniger and baking soda (i googled it) and it helped a bit. i didnt spend to much time on it as it was getting late. is this a good method or does anyone know of a better way? i currently have my four red bellys in there but i want to add more whats my limit. Thanks!!

Nice trade. The back looks good.

For the hard water stains, it its on glass or plastic i would use a razor blade. But if its on the wood just sand it out with fine sand paper

Looks very nice btw

thanks for the comments, i never thought of using a razor blade good idea ill give it a try. i plan on painting the trim black eventually but probably after i build a stand. how many more p's do u think i can add? or would i have better luck posting in the piranah section? this tank might not be monster to most of you but its by far the largest tank iv ever owned :headbang2

LOL BECAREFUL with the razor blade.... Remember you got P's in there hahahaha I am not sure about how many P's can go in there , you would have better luck in the P section .

Awesome trade though really NICe setup post some videos once you get a stand and everything the way you want it

good call on the razor blade Miguel4u2 took them right out. iv got two AC110's running on it now its gonna be this way for awhile since i cant really afford a nice canister filter. will 2 110's suffice? is that enough water movement?

well i guess something happend during the move cuz i woke up this morning (home from work sick luckily) to find a puddle of water it had a very slow dripping leek. im in the process of re-sealing it hopefully it works. man was i pissed!!!
