Anyone wants to trade a Mag 18 for a Mag 24?
The Mag 24 is too strong for my tank!
Thanks! :)

Only a couple of years.

a couple as in two?

is it still quiet?
no ratteling or anything?

and where are you at?
never heard of a ray city.

Yes a couple of years mean 2 yrs.... :P
This pump is clean and in excellent condition!
The Mag 24 is not quiet like my Mag 12 so if you want quiet, you won't get it with the Mag 24 because it is so freakin powerful! It was never quiet....
Definitely no ratteling or any problem! It is a tought pump dude...you have a Mag 16. You know how well this company makes their pumps!
I am in Texas... :)

sounds good but i just realized something while looking at the stats on the pumps.
mag
12---18---24 at 5' head (about what i have.)
1120 1200 1850

power
12--- 18---24
110w 145w 265w

if i add a 12 to the 18 i have i will get

2320 gph @ 255w
and
a mag 24 will give
1850 gph @ 265w

so pretty much same power and more flow. with the option of borrowing a pump if i needed to. or taking it off if my load changed.

stats from here http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_AquariumPage~PageAlias~powerheads_pumps_danner_mag_drive_supreme.html

This would just work so much better for me.
assuming i can find a 12 now.

Its all good dude....I am going to keep the Mag 24 and use it instead of finding a Mag 18.
Good luck on your Mag 12.

:ROFL: You forgot to take in to consideration of cost for another pump, another hose, another nozzle, space in the sump , etc...:ROFL:
