Another fishkeeper had come over to pick up some fish I was selling, we have lots of paw paw trees on our property and he was really interested in them as he had just bought a small one and it would be a couple years before it started bearing fruit, he said if I'd ever like to sell one just give him a call.
We then started chatting about my fish and he mentioned that he had some decent sized loaches that he was thinking about getting rid of.
Later that afternoon I was umm-ing and ahh-ing about whether i could afford $100 for the loaches when i came up with a brilliant plan...
Trade the trees for the fish!
And so a couple of days later I got out the shovel and dug up the trees.
It was dirty work lol
But well worth it
We both thought this was a great yet strange idea. Has anyone else ever traded something weird for fish?
