Found and add on Craigslist..150 gallon looking to down size to a 75g trade..

gave the lady a call and offered my 50g with oak stand and hood in storage and she said yes!!!!!!!!

so Im getting a 150gallon stand and hood for my 50g stand and hood..epic day going to pick it up in a few hours.

called and got dimensions on the tank, rough dimensions are 24 deep 48 long and 25 tall...puts it at about 125 gallons..not 150 but still a major upgrade!!

so excited!!

pic of the tank as it stands...its Salt water and we will transfer everything to the 50g when we get to them.

Looks like a tank made for saltwater.

it currently has salt in it but Im pretty sure there are no "salt tanks" or "fresh water tanks" they are all glass boxes ..fill with what you want ^_^ It will be fresh water with me!

Looks like a 150 tall.. Either way, Great score!

Ill know for sure in a few hours..borrowing a truck and driving and hour but its worth it!...now where to put it and what to put in it...my mother (whom im borrowing the truck from) wants it as her turtle tank...pphhh i say up grade for my 65 tall!

I understand where you are coming from, I at first thought the same way. But what I meant by salt water tank, is that the tank was built for reefs. 125 gallon tall, 150 gallon tall etc are good for reefs. You can of course fill it with whatever you want.

ok this is a fully set up salt water tank..sump and pumps included the lady bought it brand new 4 yeas ago for $5000..and she GAVE It to me for my 50 gallon and a few filters!

only the tank fit in the truck tonight, and tomorrow a friend is coming over to help us unload it and head back up for the stand and sump...this is crazy one of those to good to be true deals that is true.

the tank was up and running when we arrived!

no pics tonight, the tank needs a good scrubbing but pics to follow tomorrow!

Gratz, bro! I got a similar deal last summer. Traded a 55g and stand for a 110g when someone wanted to downsize.
