Hello all. I'm new to the group. I just found your website and it looks like a great forum.

So about a year ago I purchased 7 small angelfish thinking I would grow them out and get a breeding pair. Well I did. Two weeks ago two of the paired up and turned my filter intake orange with eggs.

It was a lot of fun watching them guard and care for the eggs but of course the next morning they were all gone. I was ready to put them in their own tank when I did a normal water change and one of them died the next day.

I think the city must have done something to their water and she might have been weak from laying all those eggs. Her partner is still defending most of the tank. I'm hoping that he will pair up with another one.

From here on out I'm going to use R/O water. I'm also interested on perhaps trying to breed German Blue Rams. I just don't want to start over from scratch. I was really looking forward to raising fry.

that sounds terrible im sorry for your loss. Me and angelfish never really mixed well although i am currently keeping three, they are so delicate. Havent kept a german blue ram yet but i have a bolivian, what a great fish and the colors are amazing on it. Can only imagine what it would look like if it was a german blue. Welcome to mfk im sure youll find great information on whatever you need help on. Im looking foward to hearing more about your tank or tanks
