Training your fish..

looking at a different thread, i thought i would ask others....

has anyone else trained their fish to do anything?

for me, so far, just one simple thing.

i lightly tap the tank three times right before i feed them.

all the fish in each tank have learned that when i tap the tank,
they get food.

anyone else have experiences like this?

All the fish in the tank gather up like a crazy shoal of feeding piranhas on the front right hand side of the tank. They also recognize the NLS container.

i do the same i tap on the top of the tank and they know its feeding time.

My two Oscars prefer to eat by hand.

I taught mine how to swim. They seem to be progressing nicely

i read something about training a goldfish to play soccer, fetch, and limbo...

My moray eel used to come up out of the water to eat by hand.

After I realized how poorly his vision was, I stopped doing this because I didn't want him to start launching himself out of the tank whenever he saw me.

yeah if i open the middle portion of my lid, all the fish come up to get fed. open the side portions, and nothing.
also if u open the middle portion and start pouring pellets into the tank, my chocolate will jump up and bite your hand

Here is a video from when I was raising hybrids and I would pet them before I would feed them they where not afraid of me at all
