I have a 50 gal right now with 2 Green Terrors, 1 male and the other a female. I might b buying this 100 gal tank tomorow night. What is the best way to do the transfer? I dont have another spare tank to use to hold the fish in and i want the new tank in the same spot as the one i own now. Any help is appreciated!!

yup buckets, get like a 5g bucket or plastic storage tub from walmart for like $4, and set it up with an airstone, fill with water from you 50g tank and put in fish, they will be fine for a couple of hours this way, then take down 50g set up 100g the way you want making sure to keep tank water inside you filter to keep the bacteria from dying (if possible set it up on the 5g bucket/tub to keep airated water on the bacteria) then fill and put same filter onto 100g or put bio media from filter into the new 100g filter GOOD LUCK you going to get any new tankmates for them in their bigger tank?
oh ok thats cool but you know once you get a pair the other GTs will have to go but you could still put a different kind of cichlid in with the pair that forms (i love GTs to i have a forming pair in my 120 and they totally fight the other cichlids together and defend each other and join in when they see others fighting it is quick interesting to watch lol)
make sure you save all the water. When you add all of the watr from the the 55, it's like making a 50% water change.
