Hi mfkrs,

I am about to transfer my broko pb into my 100 gallon in which I have a few goldfish,Gourami.

What would be the best steps to transfer them??!

Ofcourse except just netting them and putting them in the larger thank.

I have never measured any of my tanks for PH,nitrate etc .

So I don't know the exact values.

Looking foward to helpful tips, thanx in advance.

I would check the water first to make sure it is fully cycled. No ammonia or nitrites and if the nitrates are too high, do a wc. If all that is in check, just match the temps then just scoop him out of the old tank and put him straight into the new. That's how I do it

Best to do a slow acclimation. Put him into a large enough container filled one third up with water from his old tank, then start a slow drip or siphon from new tank so that the rest or the two thirds is filled into container. I usually let about 1 hour go by once container is filled to transfer the fish, by then it should be well acclimated enough to go into new tank. And of course make sure the new tank is well cycled and able to handle the bio load of a big pbass.
