Transferring tiger fish

moe214 moe214 no I didn't post about it, it happened while I was on vacation in Japan when I gave it to my friend to take care of. My big gatf is still here.
Oh sorry to hear, and I was asking if the big gatf killed him

Ah, well every fish was taking shots at the smaller gatf which includes the big gatf. The big one leaves quite some damage too so I ended up transferring to my friends tank that was housed with my black berry silver dollars, datnoid and a 12-13" sea turtle that's been acclimated to fully fresh. Eventually it was the sea turtle that killed the smaller gatf.. Gatf jumped the divider and had limited room to run from the sea turtle. :(

Sucks, and never knew sea turtles could live in freshwater for any extended periods of time.

It's sad to see but fresh water acclimated sea turtles are very common here, a hatchling is quite cheap too. However, sea turtles aren't meant for freshwater and no doubt won't be happy in a small glass box versus in their natural habitat in which they travel thousands of miles by instinct. They all have a sad look in their eye.. Couldn't bear to keep one myself.

I transfered the tiger fish by just netting them and throwing them in the 300 gal real quick.. water was the same..they took a few lumps and the goliath did a head stand when he first went in and gave me a heart attack.. he recovered fine in about 30 seconds.. my problem now is that the black wolf fish doesn't seem to want to eat or only wants to eat once a week..the wolf is also weird with the Tigers. He doesn't hate them but doesn't like them either
