Transferring

Hi guys I have a new tank and already cycled for a month, I want to ask if I can transfer my bichirs and iridescent shark to the new tank the temperatures are the same. Thankyou HFK

It's a new filter but it's been running for a month now

Depending on your cycling method your tank can be cycled quite quickly, or very slowly. We don't have a clue what your cycling method was. We don't have a clue where your parameters are. We don't know the size of the tank, or fish.

If you have 0ppm on both ammonia and nitrite, and your nitrate is rising, then you are very much on track. IF this is where you're at then i'd do a water change and add those fish slowly, perhaps over the space of a few days, just to be sure. Like I said we don't know what size they are or the bio load they are likely to put out. If you lump them all in at once you may get a spike.

Then it's just a case of monitoring your parameters and fish.

You need a test kit to determine if it is cycled. Running for 1 month doesn't make it cycled.
