how long do you think that you would need to "starve" a jardini before it will accept pellets. it will only eat freeze dried shrimp.

How big is it?

it really depends on how old the fish are!!! all you need to do is starve your aro!! for a while then drop one pellet if he/she doesnt eat it scoop it out right away and try it again the next day... the key is dont give up show him who's the boss!!! time for tough love bro!!!

mine took three days. I was plesently surprised

I agree. Just have to starve him, dont be scared if he dosent eat in couple days he will learn to eat dry.;)

Three days is awesome if all he had was feeders before. Congrat's.

mine never ate pellets, i starve him for like 4 days, he was so desperate for food already, i pitty him, so what i did was i stuffed alot of pellets inside a deshelled shrimp pre soaked it then tossed it in the tank, he ate the shrimp together with the pellets, until now, thats what i feed him!!

I havent experienced an aro that wont eat after it is comfortable in the tank. Mine Silver and Jar eat any and everything I put in the tank. They would even steal the carnivore pellets from the rays.

it can take weeks just dont give in

a healthy aro above 12inch can go without food for 1 month easy

my smallest aro about 21" will not take pellets if his life depended on it. i've starved him on 3 different occassions and he just wont take it. it doesn't look like food in any way for him. i went 3wks when he was like 14" and it was a no go. then i tried when he was 18" for over a month and it was a no go. then just recently i went almost a full 2 months and he jus wont take them.

so i just give him what he wants, but he dont get it when he wants. he eats what he wants when i feed my rtc, i would love for him to take pellets tho
