Transportation Time Limit RB(piranha)

I was wondering what was the maximum time after delivery I have to transport 12 RB(piranha). The reason i ask is that i have to make about a 2 1/2 hour drive to pick up my fish due to legalities and there is no way to get around the travel time, i want to make sure that im not going to leave with 12 and arrive with 0. if there are any tricks to make it easier to preserve their health please let me know. Or am I just being paranoid?

they can last a few days in transit if packed properly. most fish that come in to the LFS's are two days getting there...

for a few hours, not much to worry about.

just enough water to cover them, the rest being air. how big are they?

make sure that they did not get fed for a few days before moving them and you should be golden

If you're worried about ammonia, throw some zeolite in with them before you leave.

2" i was thinking about going with fry but i figured 2" would have a better chance

if your worried about the air, you could use an air bubbler with a cigarette lighter to 120 converter.

Look people your being stupid. don't ask how to transport Illegal fish. and don't help someone to do so. Your just implicating yourself if the law were to get really picky.
