Not sure if I'm thinking too much into this, but I am purchasing a 155 bow front from Craigslist and I will be moving it with a pickup truck in freezing temperatures. Will the temperature change from the house to the outside, along with a roughly 2 hour drive, and then back into my house, cause any damage to the glass (crack it)? Or cause it to expand/contract, leading me to have to re-seal it (Which I don't want to do because it is new)? Or are these temperatures too insignificant to affect the properties of the glass?

Science Class Anyone?

No, it will be fine. The only precaution I would recommend is to let it coem to room temperature before filling it with water. Warm water + cold glass = cracks.

The temperature change itself wont cause it to brake. But after a couple hour truck ride it will make it more fragile for sure. I will not affect the structually integraty of the silicone. I left a 240 i had covered out side in a nh winter for all winter one year. And it was fine when i filled it up latter. I would say the biggest concern would be keeping it safe in the truck bed for the ride. The way that i like to transport large tanks in a truck bed is. Put a sheet of ply wood down in the bed. Place a blanket of top of the ply would. put the tank in the middle. And pur brace peices of wood one on each side and end of the tank snug to the tank. And screw them in place to the ply wood so it cant move. Done this a billion time with no problems ever. Good luck and congrats on the new tank
