I'm trying to pick up a 240 gallon (8ft x 2ft) but I need advice on how to get it home. Should I go to U-Haul and rent a trailer or a big van? I'd rather rent a trailer cause a van would be too expensive since they charge by miles. How do you strap down the tank?

Dont use a trailer unless the drive is super short. Those trailers have super ****ty shocks and your tank will be bouncing ali ng with it. Best value is a home depot flat bed truck, you can rent them by the hour or the whole business day. They dont charge mileage.

Good point about the trailer. I'd probably get home and see a huge pile of broken glass.

i got my 180 with one of those Chevy avalanches and put it in the back with foam down so it would absorb any shock. Obviously your tank is bigger so same concept just a bigger truck haha

Check with budget because I believe they have unlimited local mileage. Its them or budget, can't remember but I just used it last year.
