LV Golden Knights!
So I am going to california this weekend and decided to pick up 2 silvers and 4 peacock bass from a fellow mfker. My plan is to pick the fish up on my way home to nevada. It's going to be a four hour trip and I plan on using a 30 gallon storage tote and an aerator i picked up from bass pro shop. Is there anything else i should be using or a better way to transport them?

just make sure the tote is large enough and has enough water. make sure the seller dont feed the fish a day or two before. so they dont poop in the water and create ammonia.

i've got buyers who came from sacramento and vegas to LA and they all made it back. one guy bought 4 cichla temensis 14-16 inches from me all he had was aerator and some air tablets and were kept in a 30 gallon tote. and the guy from vegas brought a cooler with a aerator and took 5 cichlas from 12-14 inches.

should be. the guy from sacramento came at night for his and got home at like 3 am. and the vegas guy came in the morning to beat the heat from the day.

both had no heaters.

alright sounds good

hmm if it wasme id use the box empty and bag each fish individually the 02 levels will be fine in big koi bags over a 4hr trip! ive done it many a time with big asains, sa's and even afros. if u dip the bags and use a peice of stiff wire bent ina loop to hold the bags open you are less likely to get any fin tears or spooke the aros durring netting. pack the bags in the box and head on ya way.
