is it ok to use a trash bag to line a rubbermaid container or just rinse out really well?

i would just rinse it out really well, if something would go wrong the trash bag could possibly sufficate them...(possibly) or the trash bag could have some sort of oil the fish could get hurt from... just my opinion;)

I just brought two rays home today in a cooler. One each to a cooler I had each cooler lined with two 50gl trash bags and it worked out for me and my rays are doing fine. So I say go for it if you want. I didn't rinse the bags or anything and rays are a lot more sensitive then most fish and if they are fine in them I'm sure what you want to transport should be fine.

well ive never used a trash bag so if you want to go for it, obviously it didnt hurt rays!

I always rinse everything to be on the safe side. Try hitting up your LFS for some shipping bags. That is where I get all my huge bags.

only fish im prob getting rid of going to pick up a 55 for 100 tommorow but she has fish in it i dont want only some gourammis that a irredesent shank she has in with them beat up and some barbs

My rays were in a cooler though and the water pressure pressed the bag against the the cooler and formed the shape of it. In your case I would just go to a LFS and get some bags from them for this. Most LFS carry all different sizes of bags, and they are pretty cheap.

yeah wanna to try to keep some of the current tank water and bio media but well see what happens thanks guys
