trashcan for water changes?

I wouldn't use that model. I don't trust those wheels to support that much water.

I'd say you're good to go. I keep one, a bit smaller ( 37 gallons I think ). It's round and has wheels. Just like that one. I keep it full with a Koralia 4 and 200W Jager heater in it. Works amazing. The water for my changes is always at the right temp.

I don't use that particular one, but I use one that looks just like it but with a matching color lid. I use it to hold my ro/di water. It holds 50g and I have used it for the past four years without issue.

Yeah I use to use a normal kitchen bin. Thing was it was soooo hard to lift once full. It would bend and it was like 50lb.
5gal bucket and syphon is the way to go.
That thing will be over 200lbs half full.
