i have had my ornate for around 5 months now and he is growing fast! but last month he had a pictus catfish stuck in his mouth and was trying to swallow him down tail first so i had to catch him and take the pictus out. now he doesn't even want to look at me and hides as soon as i come into my room. it's been a month now and he seems to get scared of me. before he would come up to the tank and lean against the glass upright waiting for food...now he hides. is this going to change or is he always going to hide?

have you tried hand feeding it lancefish? jsut hold the lance fish by the tail and see if it
will come and take it.This could take a while but off hand its the only thing i can think of -Anne

Yes, the downside is it associates your hand with food so anytime your hand is in the tank it will have a buddy checking it out lol-Anne
