Has anyone seen the new travelocity commercial where the Roaming Gnome was in a tank full of piranhas? I wanted to punch whomever did that in the face! They had several different kinds of piranhas mixed together like rhoms with red bellies and almost juveniles with adults!! They were all crammed into that tiny tank for god knows how long with probably no filtration or anything in that gross dirty water! Several of those piranhas probably died because of stress or being attacked by others in that glass box. :swear::angryfire:wall:

unfortunate indeed, it also adds to the public's negative perception of piranhas, which leads to them being banned in some states (like here in fl)

That's why they are banned in Fl? I thought it was because if some idiot let one loose into the wild the warm year round temp would allow to them survive and possibly breed and destroy the native eco system, and that's why i thought they are legal in the northern states that get too cold for them to survive

IMO they are as bad for the ecosystem down here as almost any tropical...the reputation is the reason behind why they're banned and others aren't

JDM style, the new MFK style.

i saw the commerical too but i didn't think anything of it becuase it didn't specificaly identify the "fish" as piranhas and the avarage retard (who would ban piranhas) probably couldn't identify one either

Any time animals are used in commercials, there does need to be someone present who is looking out for the safety and health of the animals, so I doubt they were in too much harm. I completely agree that it sucks, but just know that there was someone there looking out for them.
