Travling Fish : Shipping. Handling

How should i handle a fish if i was to buy one from a store which is about 20-30mins away from where i live depending of traffic around the area?

i keep em in a bag till i get home i live 40 min from local lfs.or i bring a lil bucket for each fish and a bring a cup and make bubbles.i also have a car pug in for house two prone thing and i plug in a small air bubbler and i have 4 spliters and have a air stone in each bucket.or just pay a few bucks for breathing bags.

Did that all weekend, some for two or three hours. Keep them in a cooler in a big bag.

breathing bag? what is that? I like the idea but some stupid reason my cig lighter doesnt work and i dont have a power plug think. i can allways give my passanger a bike pump lol.

I think he is talking about gas permeable bags. They allow oxygen into the water through the plastic.

You can also get a battery operated aerator from walmart for five bucks. Get a bucket with a screw on lid, drill a small hole for the air line and you are in business. Two D cells will last about 36 hours.
