Treated wood vs non-treated ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Would depend on A; the kind of wood you're talking about and B; the kind of treatment you're talking about. I'm not sure how you rate it in the US, but we have severl different 'levels' of treated timber here, some suitable for above ground only, some for in-ground use, and the real heavy duty stuff for using in salt water etc.

Non treated because the stand won't get wet other than water changes, but
The wood can handle being wet for a little while. It becomes a problem if the stand is constantly wet.
