so about 4-6 week ago my fish had a paraiste infection i finished treatment around 4 weeks ago a few days ago i noticed a wound on the back of the fish along the top fin so yday i took him out the pond and put him in my quarantine pool.
ive done alot of reading and most says i need to put the fish to sleep and treat the wound directly i REALLY aint confident enough to be doing something like this as im scared ill kill the fish, so what ive done is give the fish a 45min dip in acriflavine 5mil to 50 litres like it says on the bottle ive also brought him in the house into my fish tank and adding salt to the water bringing it to 1% and will bring it to 3% over the next 2 days. im also going to slowly rise the water temp to 22c as ive read higer temps aid the fish in healing. also going to give him another dip in acriflavine next week.
my question is am i doing the right stuff? is there anything else i can do without putting the fish to sleep? ill take some pics if you need some.
