I'm curious, I've started my first native and planted tank. I'm hoping never to encounter Ich, but how would one go about treating a cold water native tank with plants in it? It's not like you can crank up the heat...

Some ich medicines do not require you to turn up the heat. I used a product called ick clear(?) in an unheated tank and it took four days to clear it up, but I have not had ich since.

I just had to deal with Ich for the first time in years. It was in a planted Florida native Killi and molly tank. I got a bottle of Quick Cure and it took care of it within a few days. No heater needed.
