Good evening, I'm new to this forum but I do frequent other forums of the fresh water fish keeping world. I'm looking to get some more opinions on what to do in this case.

I picked up a red spotted severum from a store I don't frequent, granted, the service was rude and didn't even give the poor fish enough water to swim upright in the end (and refused to add any more) so on the bumpy 20 minute ride home he was on his side, and I believe all this stress added into the ich he ended up getting a few days after being introduced to my tank. (Never going there again.)

It's not the first time I've got this disease, but last time I got it, I ended up losing all 3 of my raphael catfish during treatment. I was gutted. Really don't want to go through that again.

The first time I got ich, my raphael (before I got him friends) ended up nearly melting away during treatment when I was using API Super Ick Cure, but he survived. My Khuli loaches and bristlenose pleco at the time were unphased.

A good while after then (after I got him friends) I had an outbreak amongst rainbowfish for no particular reason. I tried Kordon Rid Ich plus after reading that it's a little less stressful for scaleless fish like loaches and catfish, so I gave it a go, and my raphaels were reacting negatively towards it. I removed them from the tank and moved them to a smaller established one (acclimatizing them first, of course) as temporary housing, but I was too late. They all died not two days after. My featherfin catfish and bristlenose pleco were unphased.

Based off this, I'm convinced that raphaels are considerably more sensitive to medications than some other scaleless fish. The raphaels never got the ich spots themselves. I've never seen one get them before.

I got a bundle of three more a while after then, (they're my favorite species of fish) and once again I'm being faced with this disease. I'm trying to use Kordon Ich Attack, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. It's already spread from my severum to a handful of my buenos aires tetras. After reading some reviews online, I'm pretty convinced that this product is a hit or miss, and unfortunately, I missed.

Just so you guys don't get riled up about this stuff, my tank is as so:

75 gallon aquarium
90 gallon filtration
pH 7.6
gH and kH unknown
Temp at 86 degress for treatment, 76 on a regular healthy day
ammonia 0.00 ppm
nitrite 0.00 ppm
nitrate 15 ppm
20 buenos aires tetras
1 pussy green terror that gets pushed around by everything
1 red spotted severum
3 raphael catfish
1 featherfin squeaker
1 bristlenose pleco

Basically, I'm looking for a treatment that won't kill my fish. I'm limited to petsmart products at this moment due to my lack of ability to drive (my trips to places that aren't petsmart are kind of treats, except unfortunately in cases like these going to petsmart is a lot more appealing, as i also work there)

What I'm left to look at:
Mardel Coppersafe
Mardel Maracide
Mardel Maroxy
Tetra Ick Guard Tablets (preferably not, treating 75 gallons with this stuff would be really costly in the long run and I don't really trust tetra products)
Salt Bath
Any of the products I've used on a lower dose scale

I know salt tends to work, but I've heard grusome stories of using this stuff on catfish, though it's not like any of my other experiences are any less grusome.

I bet a lot of you guys are getting sick of ich threads (I know how common they tend to be on other forums) but your advice on what to do to not kill my raphaels (or any of my fish for that matter) is much appreciated. Thank you.

Ive used maradel maracyde w/ success. Its hard treating a whole tank, id just take the infected and soak em in the mixture with dechlor water in a small container for 5 mins following the dosing schedule

I've read to treat the whole tank due to how infectious it is and how its life cycle works, I'd hate to just get their spots removed and have them come back due to the rest waiting in wait in the big tank.

Aside from my 75 gallon, I've got a 37 gallon and 10 gallon, both are stocked, though, so if I were to move fish, fish would have to move out of those tanks as well.

on a side note, how much gallons does maracyde treat, about? it doesn't say on the bottle.

Depends what stage the icks in. Not sure it should say on the bottle
