Just wondering what you guy use/have used for treating ich.

~I DO NOT HAVE A QUARANTINE TANK~

I've heard both good and bad things from Ruby Reef's Kick-Ich. Im preferably looking for a herbal/all natural treatment. Right now I am soaking food in Seachem Garlic Guard.

I think my yellow belly blue regal tang might have ich. I got it the other day and it has some white spots on it but it isn't trying to scratch then off on the sand or rocks and it's eating fine and not breathing fast. The clowns also have not gotten any white spots on them yet (knock on wood). I'm looking for a coral/invert safe method.

Thanks, GPrime

dunno if this will work with salt water, sorry not my area of knowledge but with freshwater just add some aquarium salt/Epsom salt 1Tsp/10gal and rise the temp to around 78-80 and that should do the trick.

I'm not looking to do temperature raise or hyposalinity or any of that stuff because I'm still inexperienced and don't feel comfortable with it. I just want a herbal/natural additive. I was hearing/reading about this new herbal stuff from Kordon but have not seen the products. I'm liking Ruby Reef's Kick-Ich because i have a friend that's used it and it worked for him.

Plus I might not even have ich it might be some other sort of white spot, but it seems to be going away with the garlic guard and I think the cleaner shrimp's been cleaning the tang at night when its sleeping.

ah ic ic thats great then! hopefully it works out for you and your tank! goodluck! and here's a bump!

I used ick guard by jungle to treat my yellow tang and it works the guy at the local fish store claims he puts it in with his coral but i dont know i just got a fowlr.

Cool, I'll have to look into it then but I'm leaning towards the Kick-Ich since a friend has personal experience with it. =P

my 10g has a 15g sump, once i get the 120g going again im taking the baffles out of the 15g sump and using the 15g as the QT tank and use the 10g as a sump for it lol
