One of my fish In my 180 recently caught a fungal infection. It’s currently being treated separately. The only other fish in the tank, my Motoro Ray, just doesn’t seem as active as usual and isn’t eating much. I don’t see any noticeable signs and I just did a 60% water change. Should I use either API fungus cure or Marineland all in one remedy to treat the entire 180 to be safe?

What are you currently treating with? Make sure it doesn't contain copper or potassium permanganate, I've seen them struggle with acriflavin also.

Fungus I would treat with nitrofurazone. Ray safe and won't crash your bio.

Thanks. I got some live shrimp and he seemed great but I think I’ll treat with the nitro just to be safe. I know you said it won’t crash your bio load but should Take some out to be safe?

Is the ray showing fungus or another fish? Are you currently treating? If so with what?

My Peacock Bass had fungus on the eyes and back.... its eye was corroding. It was like that for a week or so until I moved it He is currently in a 10 gallon being treated with fungus cure. The only thing I’ve done for the Ray is add 36 tbsp of aquarium salt. He seems to be fine. I think the salt should fix whatever is wrong. I ordered furan 2 just in case.

I would wait on treating the ray. Furan 2 is a furazone product that contains nitrofurazone and other synthetic furan ingredients. Great for external issues and won't crash biological filtration. I would wait and watch for symptoms before treating the ray.

Good luck
